Nikita Sedov and his mother Veronika Sedova come from Donetsk, Ukraine. They speak Russian, but they never had any doubts about their Ukrainian identity. During filming, Nikita can suddenly switch to Ukrainian, because for him it is the language of strong emotions, and then just easily return to Russian. Nikita talks about love and forgiveness, but admits that he is afraid of becoming embittered, because he is hardly left with a choice. Veronica is a strong and determined woman.
